TRADITIONAL BOWS ARROWS & ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT FOR ARCHERS
MUSEUMS & QUALITY RE-ENACTMENT
Found on the Somerset Levels the original (half of a) bow dates from around 2,600 BC; this is the oldest bow yet found in England and shoots extremely well. It is a distinct and unique design, not matched anywhere else in the world (as yet).
Supplied in whitewood, this bow is approximately 74 inches long. It can be supplied decorated with leather strips to simulate the original at extra cost.
The string supplied is Dacron but a linen string can be supplied. No grip fitted unless requested.
Note -there are some bows for sale purporting to be Meare Heath types. They are not even close to the original shape which is demanding of material.
PRICE £380. (Grip add £20) With bindings £460
Prehistoric arrows also available.
Right: Ash Meare Heath in action
